Qianball (pronounced Chinball) is a
relatively new kind of sport, which was founded in China in 1998,
and expanded to Denmark in 2004. The sport has some elements from
both Badminton, Squash and Tennis, which makes the sport something
that everyboby can enjoy. Badminton-people like the strategic play
with small shots close to the net. Squash-people like the
hard-hitting, fast play. Often Tennisplayers has used Qianball as a
substitute for Tennis, in the winter season, where they aren't
ablee to play Tennis outside. Below we've tried to list the
different elements and the relations.
Squash:
-
Both or all of the players are on the same side of the net.
-
In relation to the above, many of the rules in Squash are
carried over to Qianball ie. obstruction.
Tennis:
-
The net is placed close to the ground.
-
The hard-hitting play, where you use the intire body to carry
out the hit.
